Eligibility:
Applicants are required to have a PhD in environment related science in either social sciences/economics, or natural sciences/engineering, or interdisciplinary, e.g. systems sciences. Major requirement is to have a strong scientific competence and an unprejudiced and innovative thinking in the field of interdisciplinary research. Experience in material flow accounting and analysis, life-cycle assessment, and/or environmentally extended economic models are considered a strong benefit.

Scholarship Description: Applications are invited from well-qualified candidates for the post of Research Fellow at the Thule Institute of the University of Oulu. Post description The main duty of the appointed person is to carry out high-level research on interdisciplinary issues and methodologies in material flows and resource efficiency and to publish the results in academic journals and volumes. The work includes development of new research, research-based teaching and supervision activities with the aim to form a research group in the research themes of environment and natural resources at the University of Oulu.
